Delete your account
You can delete your WeRoll account and its data at any time. Choose whichever way is easier for you.
Option 1: In the app (instant)
- Open WeRoll and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings (the gear at the top right).
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
Option 2: Without the app
If you uninstalled WeRoll or can't sign in, email us from the AU email address on your account. Include your username if you remember it.
Email support@weroll.appWe only act on requests from the account's own email address, and we delete the account within 7 days. We'll reply to confirm when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your account, AU email, password and sign-in details
- Your profile: name, username, bio, profile photo and cover photo
- Your verification selfie and student ID photo, and their review records
- Hangouts you host, with their chats, and your seats in other hangouts
- Your chat messages, check-ins, follows, notifications, feedback and push sign-ups
- Your activity records (last seen, active days)
What may be kept
- Photos you sent in hangout chats: they no longer show anywhere, but the image files can stay in storage. Ask us in the same email and we'll remove them too.
- Technical logs held by our service providers can take up to 30 days to expire.
Deleting can't be undone. If you want to use WeRoll again later, you'll need to sign up and verify again.
